Yesterday, Tomorrow, Today

The weather yesterday was cold and grey.
I wished I could wish that weather away.
It made me want to drink something hot,
So I could warm my body in that spot.

The weather tomorrow will be warm and red,
I wish it would cool down before it spreads.
It would make me want to go swim,
So I can cool my body to the rim.

The sky today is nice and blue,
I got everything that I wanted to.
It makes me want to live my life!
It makes my body feel so alive.

Yesterday has gone away,
Forget about the cold and grey.

Tomorrow is still to be done,
Don’t stress about things to come.

Today is here right in this moment now,
It’s a present, so live it proud!

Wisley Gardens

I had a walk at Wisley Gardens today.
What a spectrum of flowers all the way.
A heaven for nectar-suckers to play.
Life emerging from pots of clay.
Fruits and berries from Eden I pray,
Will taste sweet as they possibly may.
With the threat of pollution away,
This gardens will flourish in the rays.
Let it be so, forever and always.

What is Thunder?

Man does not even fully understand
The nature of a thunder storm
It is a miraculous event at hand
When the heavens decide to perform.

It can be frightening, this sky art.
Sending a chill like a dart to my heart.
Or it can be soothing and calm
Like king David singing a psalm.

The voice of Your thunder goes rolling on
The world is flaming with the light of the storm!
The rain is falling and the earth is quaking
I can’t rely on myself my confidence is shaking

The crackling creases of lightning bolts
Web through the clouds with brightening volts.
This seriously striking superpower
Proclaims Your majesty during this hour.

It is Your voice above all other
It is like Your breath upon the land
Instructing us to love one another
Whilst sending blessings on desert sand.

It’s a taste of what will be found
When the Lord of armies comes around
With thunder and great sound
Along with rushing wind and storms
And the flames of burning fire to the ground!

War And Peace

South Africa our country and hope,
Hanging from a hangman’s rope.
Should that rope snap in half,
Our country would be a big blood bath.
The song of crime is sung louder than before.
Any louder and it would open the door,
To war and violence, ready to kill.
This is reality, this is for real.

But with God’s help we will withstand,
All evil against our land.
The power of hope will join with love
And peace, a beautiful white dove.
The power will be there for long,
And during this time nothing will go wrong!

Valentine’s Poem

I’m so happy everytime I see you,
And to you I will always be true.
It does not matter who comes my way,
I will turn them away,
Because you are my love that will always stay!

I love you so much!!!
I love your soft touch,
I love your smile and pretty eyes,
We will be together through laughs and cries.
Forever. Until one of us dies…

This Valentine I’m glad to be with you,
Because it feels right when it is just us two.
We are so connected that we even think the same.
If we never met, it would have been a shame,
Because we were meant to be together
In love’s name!

Thula Thula

Arriving early onto this ancient land,
You are overwhelmed by life’s embrace.
Now totally in nature’s hand,
You realise this is your heart’s place.

“Thula Thula,” speaks the king’s ghost.
“My name is Shaka Zulu, I’ll be your host.
Stay here in peace and tranquility,
And feed from nature’s fertility.”

Once the Zulu royal hunting grounds,
Now a conservation reserve.
Plenty of wildlife still to be found
And animals getting what they deserve.

The days are beautiful and bright.
In the shade of the trees you rest.
With wildlife always in sight,
This is Africa at its best.

Experience the eerie Tokoloshe road,
Next to the Enseleni river sands.
Spooky sounds of frogs and toads,
All part of this mystic, magical land.

Wild elephants that were saved,
Stroll over Johnny’s Hill in the twilight.
Bushbabies start to misbehave,
As the campfires start to ignite.

The evening brings soothing sounds,
As you feast in the candle lit boma.
All the stars in heaven astounds,
As you discover life’s true aroma.

The Winds Of Life

We meet in a breeze of love
And glide closer like a dove.
From the North my desires
Shall spread like wildfires.

The gusts of good times,
Keep blowing into our chimes.
In the South erosion takes place,
Our landform shapes at a pace.

With powerful squalls we flock together
No longer are we just a single feather.
Shifting desert mountains to the West.
United our energy is truly the best.

Living in the gales of life,
Teaches us how to survive.
Like God’s breath from the East
We sustain life and have a feast.

The Wheat and the Weeds

The kingdom of heaven was planned
Like a man sowing good seed in his land.

But while everyone was sleeping
The enemy came creeping
With bad intensions and deeds
He came and sowed his weeds

When the plants sprouted and bore grain
Weeds appeared and tried to constrain.
The workers then started to complain:

“Dit you not sow a harvest of wheat?
Why now these weeds of deceit?”

The land owner said something is amiss
“An enemy of us has done this!”

“Shall we gather the bad weeds?
They can be dangerous and bear seeds…”

The owner commanded them to stop!
“This may also uproot my precious crop.
Leave them to grow together,
They will receive the same weather.
But at the great harvest time
I will take the wheat that is mine.

I will burn the harmful weeds of my farm,
But store my wheat safely in my barn.”

The Tree and The Sun

Living in this life
Is like a tree in the dark.
A lonely standing plant
In the middle of a park.

I will not survive
Without Your blessing rays,
Without Your warmth
And light during the days.

For it was only Your warmth
That made me sprout as a seed.
And it is Your light
In which towards I grow indeed.

My open leaves receives
Your blessings shining down.
You sustain and satisfy me
From my roots to my crown.

Without You my leaves will fall,
And my flowers will be no more.
Reduced to only driftwood
Or rotting logs on the park floor.

But with Your constant glow
And all your love and care,
I can grow tall and old
And fruits for You, I will bear.

More seeds now I can disperse,
Thanks to You the cycle is done.
I will be Your peaceful tree
And You will always be my sun!
