As the sun sets
Nighttime rises
But the darkness
Is only a mirage
Billions of bright stars
Illuminating moon
Lighting up the heavens
The deathly silence
Is just a lie
Night animals
Grunting and hunting
And howling winds
Screaming for joy
The peaceful rest
Is really unheard of
Bats buzzing through the air
Rats running on the ground
And cats are kings
Of life after daytime!
As the sun sets
A nocturnal day rises…
